Tyrann Mathieu
Marcus Maye
CJ Gardener-Johnson
Alontae Taylor

This gives you four very versatile DB's to put on the field. They can play FS or SS. They can all cover in the slot and play run support. Taylor and Mathieu can even line up on the outside. They're great in run support. Badger and Ceedy can rush the passer...and we still haven't mentioned PJ Williams or Bradley Robey. Look at all these defenders we have. Teams have a million WR's so we need a million DB's.

I have no issue with that. As well, there shouldn't be an issue if I remind people occasionally of whom the real GM's happen to be when they believe they actually are more informed than NFL Executives. This isn't saying these individuals are not smart, it's just pointing out that there is no way any of us can have even a smidgen of as much accurate insight as those truly "in the know". Just stating my opinion which I believe is just as worthy to be heard, don't you think?

We do have after all Deonte Harris, now Deonte Harty with the name change. Lil' Jordan says hello, and KMajor's favorite TreQuan. And we have last year's WR pick from South Alabama. Maybe we can unearth a little gem in the UDFA class.

I'm hoping TE Krull surprises us. He was a favorite target at Pitt for that QB the entire media wanted us to draft.

:bng:

Don't forget Callaway.

You don't have to remind anyone who the real GM is for the Saints. It's tiresome and one of the many reasons why saintfan hammered you for a couple of months. I don't know why you can't have a collegial discussion here with us.

I discuss no differently than I would with buddies at a bar. Probably less demonstrative than many of us would. And what I say is no less tiresome than the griping and moaning after every draft, yet it continues every single year. The points I make would probably not be so irritating to some if they were not true. Explain to me why it is so wrong to discuss MY side of an issue, yet it is alright for others to discuss theirs.

I see I was arguing on the wrong level, let me adjust.

I see you are going with the "I'm not stupid you are!" defense, well played.

Let me adjust my response accordingly to the fact that we aren't GM's I'll go with "DUH!"

Back to where this all started ... All I said was the cost doesn't concern me, to which K_Major agreed.

I do recall reading an article from Underhill a while back stating that HB is willing to sit it out through training camp (someone will get injured) if he has to but I don't foresee him getting the money he wants.

I'd love to have him, however at the end of the day ... it's all about money. Hopefully, the numbers are close & the front office brass can make it work. It's obvious the Saints still have a legitimate interest in closing the deal.

To be continued :bng:...

To which you then replied in what could be described as a condescending tone ...

Nope.

Myself I've been glad we haven't been over paying either with salary or draft picks like a lot of the dumber teams have been doing this offseason.

Yeah, looking at it again, he said "third best in conference."

If you're ok with reminding people they're not GMs then be ok with people reminding you they don't need to hear it.

We're ALL guilty (including you) of stating more than a smidgen of what we actually know. That's the fun part. Don't take it away.

You misunderstood. It's 3rd in the NFC overall, not 3rd in the NFC South.

Dan had his list on GetUP: 1. Rams 2. Bucs 3. Saints 4. Pack 5. Eagles.

With Honey Badger in the fold, it's a safe bet Tom Brady will need another spare Surface tablet or 2 for this season.

Lol! Remember that friendly exchange in the SB a couple of years back?

Two fierce competitors and I'm sure Tyrann is ready to get up in Brady's face again. This time it's a minimum of 2 times this season.

Can't wait :bng:.

Absolutely! I'll be the first to admit that I don't have a clue about the draft and that's why I have always sat back and enjoyed whomever we select.

Great player, great ambassador for the state of LA, and someone who genuinely cares about the community. I haven’t bought a Saints jersey in a while… can’t wait to don this jersey for the upcoming season.
