The cost concerns me, we'll see what a "home town discount" actually does for us, if it is true that we're actually going to get one.

Re: Honey badger

That last thing I care about is cost of getting any player. Bring him in.

I hear ya & agree but at some point, HB is gonna just have to start lowering his demands. There are other teams out there with the cap space but no one has budged. Not even the Rams .

I do recall reading an article from Underhill a while back stating that HB is willing to sit it out through training camp (someone will get injured) if he has to but I don't foresee him getting the money he wants.

I'd love to have him, however at the end of the day ... it's all about money. Hopefully, the numbers are close & the front office brass can make it work. It's obvious the Saints still have a legitimate interest in closing the deal.

To be continued ...

There's a huge benefit to getting him in early for all the offseason programs. If I'm DA, it's critical that Tyrann be 100% integrated ASAP

This statement make 0 sense, so no matter how it cripples our teams ability to sign additional talent, no matter how it cripples us with the CAP going forward well heck let's sign him, after all he's a LA product, and it all important we have the #1 safety prospect whether or not this is our greatest need currently? Nope.

Myself I've been glad we haven't been over paying either with salary or draft picks like a lot of the dumber teams have been doing this offseason.

With the cap skyrocketing over the next several years I absolutely have zero concerns. That's the job of the front office. It make zero sense to me as a fan to worry about anything that I have no control over and of which have far less knowledge than those that do it for a living.

Funny. All these years of being a Saints fan and rarely have they had an even average defensive backfield. This group looks to be the best they've ever had.

That said, I would prefer Jarvis Landry over Mathieu.

Don't disagree with you at all. However, we seem to need quality depth for what now is a 17 game regular schedule. I think the Saints will go cheap for WR 3-5. We do have after all Deonte Harris, now Deonte Harty with the name change. Lil' Jordan says hello, and KMajor's favorite TreQuan. And we have last year's WR pick from South Alabama. Maybe we can unearth a little gem in the UDFA class.

I'm hoping TE Krull surprises us. He was a favorite target at Pitt for that QB the entire media wanted us to draft.
