Re: 2022 New Orleans Saints: Training Camp
Getting a few snaps in the last preseason game doesn't seem like it would knock off any more rust than the next 14-15 practices prior to week one, don't you think? I think Allen would be more concerned with an opposing team looking to lay him out exposing him to an injury in an otherwise meaningless game than getting back to the sharpness he was showing prior to tweaking the foot.
It just seems like the cost/benefit of these games have shifted to the negative recently. The growing trend of teams holding out starters seems to support that thought. |

And for something less rosy, there's always Jeff Duncan.

LB depth, cleaning up penalties, continuity on the back end, the uncertainty (Hurst not healthy) behind Trevor are legitimate concerns atm. |

Where did I say there was anything wrong with what he wrote, K? He recently appeared in a voting bracket of "Saints' biggest villains". I was making fun of his reputation. He makes fun of it himself.

Re: 2022 New Orleans Saints: Training Camp
Truth is, this team is far from rosy.
I look at past performance and to what degree things have to change, if enough change is possible. Not concerned about the defense. Not concerned about special teams (actually impressed). My biggest concern is the O line. Yeah, I know we have better coaches this season but the fact remains half of our o line is a big fat question mark and if they can't protect Jameis it won't matter how good our receivers are. |
