Sidebar ... University of Texas has fallen off a cliff.
That program has been outclassed by Baylor, TAM & TCU over the last decade. It could get ugly for the Longhorns once they enter the SEC conference. |

I could see a comparison to them and Texas A&M however. When the Laggies joined the SEC it took them a few seasons to adjust. Looks like they finally may have. Longhorns may end up the same way.

UT has been irrelevant in the big XII for a long, long time. What was more surprising is that they didn’t have a single kid drafted in the 2022 NFL draft. Not one. Hell, I wasn’t even aware Tom Herman was no longer the head coach . |

Fair point. But in their last ten years in the Big12 (right before they moved to the SEC) Aggies were only 4 games above .500 in conference and had not won a conference championship. Texas was better than that during the same time span.

That is true, but maybe somewhat of a coincidence. You can't tell me some of those incredibly stacked Miami teams wouldn't have won in the SEC.
