I get #9. He deserves that more than anybody to ever play here.

Archie Manning though? I know his teams were trash...but 35-101-3 as a starter? 125 TD's vs 173 INT's? And we talk about Jabo? Nah...somebody should be able to wear #8.

I agree with you 100% those guys are hall of famers. Two of the best at there positions but Archie gets the hall of fame treatment. Don’t get me wrong I like Arch and he was on a bad team but to me that’s a shame. Willie and Rickey don’t get that recognition they deserve

I think that we had a better team under Payton who drafted pretty well overall. Manning did as much as possible with what he had to work with, which wasn't much in those days.

If Drew had been playing for the team instead of Archie I doubt that he would have fared much better with the subpar teams the Saints put out then. Although, honestly Archie was more than just the face of the franchise for years. He was the hope that the franchise could turn around and that sticks with long time fans.
