“I think that was huge, keeping the DNA the same. It’s not like it’s a full rebuild here. I think you have a team that can make a lot of noise and make a run at it. Obviously, we have to improve and get better and gel as a unit, but I think keeping the DNA of the team, the culture of the team the same, I think that’s huge, and I think we’ll all benefit from it.”

Ingram said via the Saints official website, “I think he’s doing a great job with the team, he’s doing a great job in the team meetings, he’s doing a great job with us out there telling us let’s get our work done, let’s be efficient, let’s be effective, let’s improve, let’s work, let’s have a sense of urgency. He’s going to take care of us and get us off the field. I think he’s done a great job. Just having the same DNA, the same culture of the team, I think that’s going to be good for everyone in the locker room.”

Da looks like he has a better understanding of running an NFL team than when he was with the Raiders. He is saying all the right things and making the right moves bringing in new players who will fit in the teams niche.

Yup. Dennis Allen's first go around as a head coach was with the circus of the Oakland Raiders. Al Davis had just passed away and Allen's first season was also the first season with a real live GM. Davis' son was still breathing down his neck the whole time. Allen had no solid guideline on how to manage a team, nor did he have much say. He is now in an ideal situation with an established culture, the right amount of power, and the example of one of the best leaders in the history of the NFL.

DA is set up for success. He's been cool under fire before when he was calling the shots while Payton was out. Let's see how he does without Payton whispering in his ear. Personally, I believe he will meet and beat expectations.

It’s been mentioned before by others as well, but it’s worth noting how little he had tho work with while coaching the Raiders. His QBs were worse than awful! He was not responsible for a lot of the problems they had.

They're kind of like Cleveland in that they have a plethora of high pick and squander them with a lousy front office that is still run like Al Davis was there.

Yup. Jets too. Look at the quality players the Saints alone have gotten from them.
