Coach Dennis Allen has had a great offseason (Free agency/draft) but ...

Just win the Super bowl and bring home the Lombardi.

Who knows? Maybe Gotohell and the league will stop screwing us and holding us back and let us win another Championship just to stick it to Payton! 🤞

I wouldn't count on that, but... ya never know.

Despite what seems to be a stellar offseason, key concerns remain:

- A full season of Jameis
- So many new faces
- O line
- Kamara
- MT
- DA as HC and the absence of SP

He's started off very well, and he comes off to me as very comfortable in his new role. I'm feeling optimistic even with the concerns mentioned. I think even if we underperform some on offense this defense will forgive a lot.

He did a good job as DC and learned from one of the best ever. I'm mildly optimistic/hopeful. One thing that bothers me (inconsequential so far) is his adaptation of Payton's mannerisms (he even speaks like Payton). It reeks of no self-confidence. It is a trait that can reflect respect towards a leader but doesn't bode well for being or becoming a leader. Hoping he can step out of Payton's shadow without OVERCOMPENSATING.

Maybe Payton got it from Allen. :D

I wouldn't worry too much about the shadow thing. With Brees gone and if his D is a big part of our winning he should get credit for any successes. It's hardly Chucky stepping in to Dungy's team.

I liked Sean's mannerisms as a HC, he really seems to think hard about a question asked, and responds thoughtfully and with candor as he can as a HC. He's personable. If DA learned this from him IMO it's a good thing. Much better than a mumbling mona toned Belichick or a firey, confrontational Parcells (which while amusing to every one else, is kinda of embarrassing for our coach)
