You could be right guido and all works out Ok. But Let’s say that one of these three things happen… Kamara is suspended (or gets hurt) or Ingram can’t hold up or Smith/Jones can’t cut it, then we are down to 2-3 backs to get us through a 17 game season. That’s not enough. It’s not “hatred” that makes fans worried that we don’t have enough at the position.
No kidding, that's why you work up a list of prospective vested RB's that can be added after the week one deadline and have them on speed dial. Once again, the Saints routinely carry only three RB's and a FB on the 53 man roster. You can go back and verify that on ourlads.com Saints page.

There's not much more that can be done right now. Sure, you can add some non-vested player as an eighth training camp RB, but then you'll need to cut a player from another position. But come final cut day they'll all be released other than the base three RB's and one FB.

I get your concern, but rosters are limited and you can't just stock away players on roster just for the sake of having them available. That's what makes it so complicated. There's only so many slots open.

So, you disagree with me when I say “I hope the Saints bolster the RB position”?

No. Not if needed and when that need is pressing. But I certainly don't see it as a urgent need unless some miracle happens so Nevada declines to prosecute Kamara on August 26th. That opens the league up to immediately lay down a suspension. Otherwise they'll wait until the case is final and who know when that will happen.

Or if one or more of our current RB's get injured. God forbid.

Fair enough. But consider this; Kamara has never started 16 games in a season. Last year he started 10. I don’t think his health is going to get better as he gets older. So, even discounting a possible suspension, I question if Smith, Jones (love that name combo as I’ve said before) and Ingram can get the rest done. A team has to be able to rush the ball when needed.

You described every other NFL team. Very few RB's start every game. But you are limited to roster spots. What you are not limited to is the number of phone #'s on your speed dial.

It’s not every other team. If you consider the likely suspensions and injuries, then there are many other teams who have better projected backfields than ours. You are blind. Our leading rusher didn’t even get 900 yards last year. Now is where you blame it all on the line.

*shaking my head*

Where did I say other teams didn't have better projected backfields than ours? Every team has possible unknown issues.

Please Lord give me patience.
