This interview is another reason for me not to be a Tre' Quan Smith fan. He threw Callaway under the bus when asked about his dust up with Winston. Apparently he isn't a team guy with the humble answers. We've got young talented players who want his spot and I hope they get it.

It is weird hearing him refer to himself as a veteran though. Yes, he’s been here a few years but every year I feel like I’m seeing him for the first time waiting to see him reach his potential. I would rather cut ties with him than anyone else but I don’t see any trade value there. I don’t have a ton of faith in Thomas returning and if Landry gets injured we are right back where we were last year so keeping them all wouldn’t surprise me. |

Smith has zero trade value.
4+ years in the Saints system, he is a finished product. What you see is what you're gonna get. Let him block for playmakers. |

Re: Bob Rose/SI.com | Saints Potential Trade Candidates
He'd be a solid #4 or #5. Who's asking for or expecting more? But I agree, there's plenty of free agents of the same caliber so he has no trade value. But he does have value to the Saints in that he knows the offensive scheme and terminology.
