Re: Cam Jordan Hall of Fame?
One thing that matters, but shouldn't, is what the voters think of the candidate personally. There are few people in the entire league more liked and more accommodating with the press than Cam Jordan.

To my point, would Cutler have been talked about as much as a Saint? No, but he was a Bear so he had greater exposure. Mother f***ers play favorites whether we want to believe that or not. |

At least 32 of the 49 members are beat writers and not "fans" of any team. I've known many sports writers and broadcasters in my day and they are almost to a man, or woman, frustratingly neutral when it comes to the team they cover. Any allegiance usually belongs to the team they pulled for growing up. But, yes, they can and do play favorites I would suppose. I have heard that players that have a bad reputation for with the press have a tougher hill to climb than those who the press like in general. Cam's seems to have been campaigning quite a bit in that realm recently. ![]() |
