Re: Cam Jordan Hall of Fame?
my .02- Definitely not first ballot, Has to contend with the big market bias, (yes it exist) and that wow factor or glaring stat that most have. Winning Super Bowls is a big deal, but it's not all that. Just means the player was part of a well rounded team, which offers up the old question...was the player that great? or was the player just a cog in a well oiled machine. AKA LC Greenwood, Trent Dilfer. Something like a top five in sacks, Pro Bowl/All-Pro, maybe Deep playoff run where he puts the team on his shoulders via key plays, sacks, TFL in the next couple of seasons would probably cement his eventual ticket. Just may take awhile, while adding a little jam to his toast.

If stats (sacks, tfl, hurries) were recorded when he entered the league, there is no telling where his totals may have ended. His post-season stats are among the best that's ever lined up at DE. But as Rez eluded to earlier in a previous post, Cam is going to have to pick up the pace quite a bit, otherwise, he'll have to wait (see Klecko, Jim Marshall & Gastineau) a long time before he gets the call. |
