this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...-chicago-bears Can we afford him? If so, would you pull the trigger as GM? I've seen this guy and he is legit one of the top 5 LB's in the league right now!...

I’d assume we can’t afford him. However, if we traded for him and gave him big bucks when we have Ceedy Deuce here asking for a contract that’s going to definitely kick up some dust.

I wish but Roquan wants ridiculous money.
Pete is still on his rookie contract. If Demario was "hinting" at retirement ... maybe but based on the guys they have brought in, Saints are only looking at adding a depth piece. The next guy in line to get paid would be Ceedy and possibly Davenport. |

This requires a simple yet brilliant formula that Payton worked out and we need to follow. First Vilma then Demario Davis; The first LB that gets tired of playing for the Jets we swoop in and trade for. Likely he will be available about week 5. Future star and possible HOF candidate guaranteed!!!

Yeah, love to have him on the team, but way too costly.
