Goodell signs the paychecks of everyone involved with making the schedule. Venue availability can occasionally be an issue but like goodell’s basement, it may be locked down a few weekends when loud music is playing, but if he gets in a bad mood capacity quickly opens up. With bye weeks, home and road games, etc there would be thousands of possibilities and ultimately the guy writing the checks can get whatever result he wants.

I’m sure people said the same thing about Carolina last year SG before they beat the Saints. But that’s not the point bako is making either way.

The 11 game suspension also makes it less likely that the Browns will get another qb. Clearly Watson > Garrapalo > Brissett. Had the suspension been a full season, the Browns may have sprung for Garrapalo. But with 11 games, the rest of our division gets Brisset and we get Watson, who when he left the league was an mvp caliber qb. The browns with an mvp caliber qb do scare me. Myles Garret is good. They have the most depth at RB in the league. They have decent receivers. Sleeping on the Browns is like sleeping around Bill Cosby or Roger Goodell. You may wake up in a nightmare.

Well, yeah any given Sunday of course.
I'm just saying I don't think it's that big of a disadvantage that he is playing. Our secondary is going to feast this year + he's not the most accurate

Probably so. I take bako’s point as being it’s just another example of the league having an issue outside of the Saints control that ends up working against them. It’s funny that seemingly 9 times out of 10 it falls that way for them. Can’t remember this sort of thing happening to other teams as much.

You'd be surprised. I've been around other team forums for almost two decades in some cases and their members make exactly the same arguments. Their teams are always getting screwed by the league, games were fixed against them, the refs are always out to get them, etc. You only hear about the breaks that go against your team and never the things that are to your team's advantage.

Yeah. People don't seem to remember that he was only able to win four games in 16 starts the last season playing.
