Re: Who Makes The Cut?

I hope by waiving Kevin White (injury settlement), that opens up a spot for Justin Evans.

Real question for me is what we'll do at Left Tackle

How long is Hurst out for? I thought he was supposed to be back by the start of the season.

Initially, I'd say Hurst is starting LT however he's not completely healthy (according to DA). TBH there is no quality depth behind Hurst.

The second option - swing Peat out to LT (which I would hate).

3rd option - make the call to Eric Fisher. He's already stated he's in great shape and expressed interest in playing for a contender.

4th option - keep an eye on the waiver (final cuts around the league) wire tomorrow.

Dallas is in the same boat as us (LT - Tyron Smith) tore his hamstring & out indefinitely).

Coach Dougie Marrone has some tough decisions on his plate to ponder as we inch closer to week 1.

TE - Hill, Traut, JJ, NVannett

WR - MT, Juice, Olave, Callaway, Harty & Merritt

OT - Ramz, Hurst, Young, Kidd

Guards - McCoy, Peat, Ruiz, Throckmorton

Special teamers - Lutz, Blake G, Wood

DE - Cam, Turner, Davenport, Carl G, Tanoh K

DT - David O, Ninja Tuttle, Street, Roach

LB - DD, Pete, Wilson, Bostic, Dowell, Ellis

Safeties - Honey B, Maye, Ceedy, PJ, JT Gray, Justin Evans

CB - Latty Daddy, Adebo, Roby, Taylor

Notable cuts for me --- > Zach Baun & Trequan Smith.

Guys in BOLD - newly signed players in 2022.

Kidd is better than people think. But agree generally that the waiver wire may offer some opportunities.

Fisher may be out of our price range. And there is a reason he's still not on some team yet.

Can't argue much with that list ... except maybe Krull... he looked good in the last game.
