this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Bills run defense and pass rush looks very legit this year. Glad we're not playing them in the regular season....

Re: Thursday Night Football Game Night Thread - Bills @ Rams
I've thought for a while Allen is the future of the league. He will outdo Mahomes. He'll be the MVP this season and will win multiple MVPs. I think we can win a Superbowl but it's never going to happen by outdueling Allen. The defense will have to put up an outstanding performance against him. He's the best in the game right now and will only get better.

Re: Thursday Night Football Game Night Thread - Bills @ Rams
I think Allen is more clutch than Mahomes and I just overall like him better. He should have lost to Allen last year, which I think everyone can agree on I just think the dude is good. He and Burrow are the two guys that will end up with more SBs than Mahomes(as long as the Bengals get Burrow some protection).
I think Winston COULD be good, but he has to find that middle ground in his game. When Winston was at Tampa he was way too aggressive with his throws. Last year I felt like he never got comfortable with taking the big shot as if he was afraid of throwing the INT. You can't play scared and you can't be a gunslinger. Winston has to figure out that middle ground. If he does he can rise up in this league. It's a mental thing with him. The light switch is either on or off. It's a fixable problem, but it's going to have required him to put a lot of work into it. I noticed this from the first time he touched the ball last year. We won because we have a really good roster. |

Winston’s problem last year was Tom Brady’s problem in 2019 and may be Rodgers or Maholmes problem this year. Anyone would be tentative and mediocre when they don’t have any receivers who would make the team on the 2022 Jets. You can’t complete passes to your own positive thinking, you need actual receivers who get open enough to believe your eyes when it happens.

You have to be aggressive when you are always trailing by 14 points in the 4th quarter.

First game aside... the Bills looked solid. The entire game had a first game vibe to me.
