It's quite simple. We need Jabo to get the ball in the hands of his playmakers. He's got too many weapons not to be successful. Mickey Loomis should be on the hotline looking to make a trade for interior lineman and a running back. We need to get some help in here. If Jabo can't improve...I hate to see it...but we should look to get somebody like Tyler Huntley to try and salvage the season and/or find somebody for the future. I haven't given up on Jameis, but he has to bounce back in a major way this weekend. They need to trounce the Panthers.

We’re dealing with the opposite problem we had last season.
Last year guys weren’t getting open. Now the separation is ridiculous.
I went back and looked at every INT. There were players WIDE OPEN.
On the pick6, Jones Jr is in the middle of field with no defender within 10yds.
Jameis, take what the Panthers give you.

One problem rez is it’s the Panthers. Even when Payton was here at the team’s peak we often struggled with and had close games with them. Look at last year. It’s kinda like how the Saints find a way to be competitive with the Brady bucs…on paper some of these Past games certainly favored the bucs and the Saints won them or kept them close. I expect the same thing playing in Carolina against a team that has lost 2 games by a combined 5 points looking for their first win.

Well, based on stats for the Panthers QB (Mayfield) through two games ...

Ranks - #32 in QBR (24%)
Ranks - #32 completion percentage (54%)
Ranks - #26 in total passing yards (381)
Ranks - #31 in 3rd down conversion (49%)

He's been pretty damn awful.

Saints defense need to insert foot on their throats because the Panthers are struggling like us offensively. Tepper could fire the HC mid season if this trend continues.

Just the kind guy who gives us problems 🤪

There D has been solid. Averaging 310 YPG with more TOs and Sacks than our D has. Just sayin.

Panthers lose and I think Rhule is let go. No point in waiting as they're only delaying the inevitable. Nebraska then starts the process in hiring him as HC.

Divisional opponent I can respect but their WRs can't get open & Mayfield has played like trash. Our defense is still top 5.

I'll be shocked if the Saints have another let down on Sunday.

I'd like to see more of the old school ground and pound vs Carolina.

We averaged over 5 ypc against a good Bucs defense.

Carolina is ranked 29th in rushing yards allowed with 320 in two games. They are struggling against the run.

It's not like Jameis is a rookie. He needs to shine now! Glad to see you're giving him shorter leash. Isn't next year the year of the QB in the draft?

As bako would point out not for us because we have no first round pick next year.

First round picks are always obtainable. The Saints are always open to trading up.

That's the consensus.

Bryce Young, Alabama
CJ Stroud, Ohio State
Will Levis, Kentucky (I like a lot.)
Anthony Richardson, Florida (If he decides to come out.)
Tyler Van Dyke, Miami
Hendon Hooker, Tennessee (I also like a lot.)
Tanner McKee, Stanford

I think we could get a Hendon Hooker in the 2nd or 3rd round. I want Will Levis from Kentucky though. And yeah, we're really built to win right now so we don't have time for Jabo not to come in and ball out.

How about Devin Leary, NC State?

I like him as a later pick. I kinda wanna move away from the smaller QB's like Brees, Book, and Chase Daniels. He's talented though.

Check out Hendon Hooker from Tennessee though. I think that's somebody we could realistically get next year.

6'4" 218 lbs.

2021:
2,945 passing yards
68.2 completion percentage
31 TDs
3 INTs
620 rushing yards
5 TDs

So far in 2022:
844 passing yards
69.4% completion percentage
6 TDs
0 INTs

Re: Week 3 - Saints @ Panties

Hooker is a guy that has definitely intrigued me. Very underrated and hopefully it stays that way. I can see him having a strong combine and shoot up the draft boards... then we'd have no chance there.

Meanwhile, our current QB need to elevate his game vs Panthers.

Another divisional game, it's a must win.

Put Jameis back in the shot gun.

Week 3 in a long season with a late season bye. If Jameis isn't healthy sit him, after his last performance it certainly wouldn't be the end of the world. It is a division game, as all of ours have been so far.

THIS IS ON (MIS)-MANAGEMENT. THEY KNEW WHEN BREES WAS ON HIS WAY OUT. THEY KNEW SP WOULD FOLLOW. THEY DID NOT PREPARE. TOP-DOWN FAILURE. THAT'S ALL.
