Re: Saints vs Bengals Game Day Thread
We can bang on the offense all we want, but this loss is on the defense. The offense, being what they are, overperformed expectations today. Held the ball for over 32 minutes, rushed for over 220 and did not turn the ball over. Defense was for the most part awful in the second half. This average offense gave what is supposed to be a stellar defense more than enough to win today and they did not pull there weight. DA that defense is your baby and they have pretty much sucked for three straight weeks now. Sorry but the offense is definitely not anywhere near where it needs to be but I believe they are outperforming the defense at this point.

Neither QB with a rating over 78. 1 TD pass 3 FGs 1-5 Red Zone 8-17 3rd Down efficiency is not bad, 17 f**king 3rd downs is. I could easily argue that if… fu*k it, do we miss Morestead yet because just an average punt would have given us a chance to hold them off. Defense didn’t play poorly until the end, we have a long history of losing in prevent defense. All that said, neither side played well and special teams has been a black eye the whole season. Not enough fingers to go around if we start pointing at anyone but Dennis Allen. |

With 3:00 left in the game you play to win not preserve the lead. Especially, at home.

As a side note ...
Landry, Michael Thomas & Lattimore are not expected to play on Thursday Night vs Arizona. Source - > Jeff Duncan We should get Olave back though. |

If you are pissed at anyone about the toe injury be pissed at Carolina for their crappy artificial turf at an outdoor stadium and the light weight shoes so many receivers wear these days. The two most common causes of turf toe injury: - Participating in sports on artificial turf. - Wearing athletic shoes that do not provide adequate support when playing on turf. |
