Hindsight is 20/20 and letting all those key contributors had more of an effect than any of us thought!

With all the changes to the defense during the offseason is anybody surprised that we lost continuity? I expected better from the Honey badger to be honest. We are missing Gardner Johnson badly and it shows on the field where we are playing uninspired football. I was not a fan of letting Williams go but I had high hopes for Marcus Maye. I don't know if he's healthy or not but he's not getting the job done when he's out there.

Agreed. The players brought in simply aren't doing the job and I don't think DA has schemed very well either.

Mathieu just looks lost out there and is making a ton of business decisions when it comes to tackling ball carriers.

I think DA got overconfident with the Belichek mold and thought he could just plug holes with any player. Turns out we had some special young players, that they just let walk.

It started when we let Vonn Bell walk a few years back, just as he appeared to be hitting his stride as a player.

According to NFL Network, Loomis wants a trade package similar to CMC for Alvin Kamara.

Wonder if any team would bite. It'd be interesting for a team within Super Bowl reach.

Re: Let's Talk Trade Deadline

It sucks being salary cap constrained right now. The draft picks I don't have an issue with moving especially if it's a young impactful player. Not being able to re-sign him regulates us to bargin bin shopping.

Thankfully we do have the horses here to compete. We just need to get them healthy and/or coached up properly.

Mathieu is having a really good season in coverage. How often are you seeing him get caught on or burned deep? The tackling is a problem but I expected that. He’s little as hell and playing out of position. They use him as a FS when he’s really more of Nickel. Adebo and Roby are the real problems. That and missing Marcus Maye for all those games.

We need a first round pick for a decent QB! Thomas is my choice for a trade!
