Re: Rumor
Looking at contracts, it’s hard to see either of them leaving. They are either too big a hit in dead money against a cap we are already over and/or due too much future money (Kamara is due over 25 million in 2025!).
I’ve been browsing spotrac a bit and I’ll throw in another name….Winston. Check out his contract numbers: https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/new-orle...winston-16725/ He has money (8.4 mill) due against dead cap in 2024 when he isn’t even under contract! Next year he is due a 15 mill cap hit (small for a QB) but has 11 million in dead money. That means if he is not on the roster (via trade or being cut the saints have to take that 11 mill hit plus whatever it takes to sign his replacement. In other words get used to Winston because he’s on the team next year even if it’s as a backup. I understand this is where some are critical of Loomis for the contracts he has given. I think the criticism is overblown however as I believe health, refs, and coaching/practicing have been the issues, not the talent. |

Re: Rumor
RG3 on ESPN was trying to sell a Kamara trade to the Rams tonight. I guess these people need to come up with something to talk about.

Unfortunately we'll see it again Monday night too. All the coverage will be on the Ravens and Lamar Jackson, and his non contract, and their trade for Roquan Smith. If they talk about the Saints at all, it'll only be about the injuries. SFIAH |
