very well could be the bolts, they have a very good qb in place and need just a few more pieces to complete their puzzle

So how likely is it that we get any picks for him and when does his contract end?

To me, wouldn't a team just wait until the contract is up, rather than give up a ton of draft picks for a coach who made 1 superbowl in 15 years?

As Ross Jackson eluded to earlier in his video...

"The more teams interested in SP, the merrier".

Let the bidding war begin!

1 Super Bowl with the New Orleans Saints. A destitute franchise that had one playoff win prior. Gotta keep that in mind.

An article, I believe on PFT, indicated that whether or not coaching contracts toll when the coach sits out or whether rights are held indefinitely like a player is a legal question that has not been tested. So a team could wait until 2025 to sign Payton and instead of giving up picks they get sued by the Saints and maybe have their head coach sitting out with an injunction. If a team that has some extra picks or extra depth at some positions wants Payton its certainly simpler to make a decent roster offer than to wait until 2025 and get sued.

Coach is already living in SoCal … lived there for 8 years love the weather, ocean desert loved it all … except 13% income tax and property tax.

Don’t think Denver will be the choice, it been said he wants warm climate. He is currently 25 minutes from SoFi right now.

Would choose Russell Wilson on his downhill run, or Justin Herbert your QB for the next 12-15 years. Don’t think Coach wants reclamation project jumping back into it.

Just saying …

Thinking the coach is gone in LA regardless if the make the playoff or not.

How did Bill Parcells retire from the Giants, Patriots, Jets and Cowboys? He had one year left on his contracts with the Giants, Patriots and Cowboys. Can't find any information on his Jets contract.

In fact After Parcells’s Giants won the Super Bowl in 1991, he retired and then signed with NBC Sports to serve as an analyst for its football broadcasts. (Sound Familiar?) In 1993 he became head coach of a New England Patriots

The Jets compensated the Patriots for Parcells with draft picks. Then with the Jets Parcells stayed on as GM for one year after resigning as coach so that likely tolled and altered his contract as the Cowboys did not hire him as a GM which was his last job with the Jets. I don’t know the circumstances around him leaving the Giants, that was pre world wide web.

I agree about a team having extra picks like two 1st rounders and multiple picks afterward. It happens all the time. I"m hoping we get another HC and those picks we get for Payton go to a new HC so there not wasted. We're gonna have to find a franchise qb and those picks for Payton could go a long way by a good HC but if Allen is still here might have give Payton away.
