SP is going somewhere, most of us think in 2023. We'll just have to wait and see where and for how much. It should be a haul in its own way. Methinks an equivalent of 3 number ones... meaning some players and draft picks combo, in all likelihood.

However, you gotta give Pete Carroll credit for knowing/feeling when to offload an aging QB. SP didn't have the same wherewithal evidently. Can you imagine what kind haul Brees would have netted the Saints? Could the Saints have upped an offer to move up one spot to get Mahomes? Were they even contacted? SP rode the stud horse named Drew Brees until he could not anymore... and then got the hell outta of the Saints. You can sorta say he tried to find a successor over the years with the ever so crazy reaches at QB. Yes, finding a worthy replacement at QB is easier said than done, obviously. It still doesn't take away from having the balls to trade a player before he's completely expired for value, like Coach Pete did. It is a team game after all, right? Being friends with a player clouds judgement, the kind of judgement that advances teams positively.
