Week Eleven: Rams @ Saints

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Are we getting anybody back on the offensive line? What we put out there last week was pathetic. It's tough to win with a backup in three or more positions on the line....

He was designated to return 5 days ago. Doubt it happens but I'd be pleasantly surprised to see him in action this week.

At least he was out there going through pregame activities in Pittsburgh prior to the game this past weekend.

Re: Week Eleven: Rams @ Saints

Andy Dalton is a free agent after this season and we already know what he can do. Or, more precisely, what he can't do. Winston is under contract for 2023. Even if we decide to go QB in the 2023 draft why not let him sit and learn and let Winston take the reins for the season? There's really nothing to lose. If we cut Winston we are still hit with his dead cap hit regardless if it is all in 2023 or split into 2024. We might as well play him. Who knows. We may find out we have our longer term answer already.

I’m just not super excited about the odds of winning with this offensive line and the defenses lack of ability to get turnovers.

This team is worse then it was a couple of weeks ago.

That's what losing players to injury does. The Rams just lost their leading receiver AND both their starting LT and RG this week. And they were ranked #30 in offense prior to those losses.

It's the twilight zone we are in right now.
