Week Eleven: Rams @ Saints

I think it is time for Winston. I hope Allen sees it the same way.

Winston is under contract for next year. If he's ready to go, get him the reps.

Winston, sure. Won't matter if we're forced to trot out last week's o line.

Maybe Penning returns this week to get his first playing time. Still not ideal, but better than what we had after losing Hurst the last game.

I’d like that. Definitely running the ball his way.

At least the Saint's defense won't have to worry about defending Kupp.

High ankle sprain ... most likely out.

But then there is that Aaron Donald dude to worry about.

Definitely out.

Are we getting anybody back on the offensive line? What we put out there last week was pathetic. It's tough to win with a backup in three or more positions on the line.

He was designated to return 5 days ago. Doubt it happens but I'd be pleasantly surprised to see him in action this week.

At least he was out there going through pregame activities in Pittsburgh prior to the game this past weekend.

My thought process as well.

He's had about a month to heal. If anything, let him "audition" for a roster spot in 2023 or if not, post June cut.

We already know what we have in Andy D., most likely he won't be back.

A lot of guys on this team AND coaches have 7 games to show what they can do & if they can lead men in tough times.

No o line fix... wouldn't matter who played QB.

Re: Week Eleven: Rams @ Saints

I’m just not super excited about the odds of winning with this offensive line and the defenses lack of ability to get turnovers.

This team is worse then it was a couple of weeks ago.

AsylumGuido 11-15-2022 04:19 PM

Re: Week Eleven: Rams @ Saints

Andy Dalton is a free agent after this season and we already know what he can do. Or, more precisely, what he can't do. Winston is under contract for 2023. Even if we decide to go QB in the 2023 draft why not let him sit and learn and let Winston take the reins for the season? There's really nothing to lose. If we cut Winston we are still hit with his dead cap hit regardless if it is all in 2023 or split into 2024. We might as well play him. Who knows. We may find out we have our longer term answer already.

That's what losing players to injury does. The Rams just lost their leading receiver AND both their starting LT and RG this week. And they were ranked #30 in offense prior to those losses.

It's the twilight zone we are in right now.

Well, the Rams don't look that healthy right now either. That means it's a toss up on whether we win. I guess that means we'll lose. Hey, on the bright side we'll get a top draft pick in the second round after Philly gets our first round pick.

Didn't Dennis say Winston was "healthy" a week or two ago but not playing because of performance?

Now, he isn't healthy?

So much stuff to unpack here. Dennis is losing this locker room each day.

Looks like DA is good to go with his job security. Either that or he's waiting for mathmatical elimation before pulling AD.

Any way you slice it, it's looking like the Eagles are getting a VERY HIGH First rounder next year!!!

He said "healthy enough" if I remember correctly. "Healthy enough" to play if needed was the way he put it. That's when he went from emergency to backup a couple of weeks ago. If he is "healthy enough" he should be starting over Dalton.

Read somewhere JW just started practicing rollouts this week … does not sound like he’s 100% … if he can’t scramble he would be a liability … add in the state of the offensive line he likely to be going down often and hard if he can’t move with out restrictions.

No cap. That’s the buzz from some of the big wigs at Ochsner.

He has one... atop the old heritage building now converted into condos at the foot of Canal St, last I heard.

Brees bought a condo there also. As did Angela-over-the-Hill formerly of WWLTeeBee.

Read somewhere he needs surgery to fix a torn tendon in his foot... FWIW.

IMHO, we're playing musical QBs this year. Next year is the motherload of a QB class.
