Re: Observations from the Saints' Win vs Rams
Just and observation after this game. The NFC South and NFC Wests records are inflated by playing each other and themselves. The NFC South has 6 wins vs the NFC West vs 4 wins vs the rest of the NFC and AFC combined. Outside their own division and the nfc west, NFC South teams are a combined 4-14 I believe. Somebody has to win the division. Maybe they can beat an NFC west team if they get to play one. Outside that it may be rough. The Rams F’d that future. The 49ers gave 3 first round picks for a poor mans Taysom Hill who is on IR and are still ok but needed those picks to be great. The Cardinals are running the Texas Tech defense in the NFL. Seattle is a mediocre team with a cheap qb and some cap and draft potential for the future kind of like Atlanta but is clearly rebuilding.

Re: Observations from the Saints' Win vs Rams
We have some very good young players coming up and looking ready for the future. We have Chris Olave, Ellis, Granderson, Taylor, Adebo, Johnson, and Werner. Also, we've got some good young coaches, even though there are obviously some that need to go. The really good news is that there has been no Tre Quan Smith sightings thank goodness.

Re: Observations from the Saints' Win vs Rams
4 picks for Sean Payton and 1 player. Two must be first rounders (nfl inflation)
Should be enough to right our ship. |

Re: Observations from the Saints' Win vs Rams
If the pattern holds the Saints season has basically been W-L-L-W-L-L-W-L-L. The only exception was waiting one extra week for a win the week they played Minnesota which has been the best team they played all year by win loss record. If the general pattern holds they are due for wins against Atlanta and Carolina who are definitely beatable and will lose the games they are expected to lose against SF and Philly anyway. This would put them at 2-4 down the stretch for a 6-11 finish and probably have Philly picking somewhere around 10th. They could do better or worse but I think this is a reasonable guess at this point. They can pull off wins but have not been consistent.

Re: Observations from the Saints' Win vs Rams
I hope that Penning is ready for action full-time. We need to go ahead and get his early penalties out of the way this season before we start him next season on a fresh start.
