I have both of your mothers.

Dude, Momma jokes have no effect on me. I'm close to 50, and my boys and myself check each other much, much harder. At least you don't see my crying in here. I've been a fan since '84, so I've seen the rough times. I remember the first playoff game vs the Eagles and the first playoff win vs the SB champs the previous year. It's obvious he isn't bright and doesn't understand many things about running a franchise. I'm no expert, but if I do speak on something, at least I know what I'm talking about.

Well less funny but equally pointed insults have no effect on me. I do agree with you though thats its obvious Loomis is not bright. And if you have been a fan since 1984 you should remember the fans who whined in 1985 and got us a new coach and gm for 1986 were right. Almost every time we cleaned house and fired the coach and gm from 1984 to present we have improved from losers to a playoff team to a playoff winner to a super bowl winner. If we want to win multiple super bowls after a 13 year drought, history is clear that we have to wine again to win again.

So Mayfield won a game for the Lambs... Still think he could not have helped us ?

Didn’t we blow out the Raiders with Dalton?

There is enough film on Baker Mayfield, there was no point in the Saints bringing him in now. With that said, it would make more sense to snatch a young arm off someone's practice squad and give him some playing time to see if he can be used in the future.

Did Mayfield have the benefit of a training camp and weeks of practice with the Lambs?

A player is only as good as his OC & Head Coach.

Baker would not have long term success with the current Saints coaching staff.

Good for Mayfield though. He found a way to win.

In all fairness, DA had the foresight to continue to play the red haired QB over Jameis, even if Jameis is still technically injured albeit heathly enough to play, allegedly. Our third string option is not really an option as we've discovered. We had a chance to get a decent QB for simple $ and no draft picks, even if for the balance of the year and a potentially reduced contract next year as he fights for his second contract.

Just wait until the postseason... in a close game, someone is getting screwed by a non-call.

I don’t think anyone said it was just the Saints. And I don’t see it happening to “every” team. I see it repeatedly happening to a few teams.

At one point or another every team gets burned by a blown call and each and every one of their fan bases claim the league is out to get them. It's going to continue happening to a degree even if we get rid of the part time officials because they are still human and will make mistakes. Not as many as these incompetent old farts they call officials currently, but they'll still happen.

The only true solution is replay across the board.

How is it that College and the new upstart pro leagues can get it right?

Ahhh... yes! We know why, don't we? :bng:

They don't. They just aren't under the same microscope. I don't watch much of the college game, yet I see horrible calls in most every game I do watch. There are also fewer camera angles in college ball to show how bad the officiating actually is. As for the XFL's, USFL's, and CFL's of the world, the microscope doesn't even exist at all. These are all officiated by even less qualified part time refs.

Is the college officiating system broken? Real referees explain how to fix it

These are just a few different instances from the current college season. There are tons more reported on and many times more than are simply ignored.

If the "Non Call" vs the Rams in the NFCCCG didn't convince you, nothing will. Remember the NFL released NO STATEMENT for 10 days after the "blown" call. Yeah, I still watch the NFL but through a "See if you can spot the FIX" lens. Start paying attention to the body language of players in the sideline views of the team that "could lose the game, IF......" The NFL is a SPORTS/ENTERTAINMENT business.
