In all fairness, DA had the foresight to continue to play the red haired QB over Jameis, even if Jameis is still technically injured albeit heathly enough to play, allegedly. Our third string option is not really an option as we've discovered. We had a chance to get a decent QB for simple $ and no draft picks, even if for the balance of the year and a potentially reduced contract next year as he fights for his second contract.

I don’t think anyone said it was just the Saints. And I don’t see it happening to “every” team. I see it repeatedly happening to a few teams.

At one point or another every team gets burned by a blown call and each and every one of their fan bases claim the league is out to get them. It's going to continue happening to a degree even if we get rid of the part time officials because they are still human and will make mistakes. Not as many as these incompetent old farts they call officials currently, but they'll still happen.
The only true solution is replay across the board. |

There are also fewer camera angles in college ball to show how bad the officiating actually is. As for the XFL's, USFL's, and CFL's of the world, the microscope doesn't even exist at all. If the "Non Call" vs the Rams in the NFCCCG didn't convince you, nothing will. Remember the NFL released NO STATEMENT for 10 days after the "blown" call. Yeah, I still watch the NFL but through a "See if you can spot the FIX" lens. Start paying attention to the body language of players in the sideline views of the team that "could lose the game, IF......" The NFL is a SPORTS/ENTERTAINMENT business.
