Years and years after the "NON CALL" in the NFCCCG I finally accepted it's all a SHOW! If the NFL was classified as a sport, with individual teams competing against each other, they could be charged under antitrust laws for fixing games. But being classed as a form of entertainment, the teams are technically working in unison for entertainment purposes, so it's perfectly legal for the NFL to fix a game. Always keep that in the back of your mind.

Glad you brought that up Nola54.

Fun fact: The Saints have the second most field goal attempts of under 40 yards and the second most punts from opposing territory.

Source: Sports columnist Jeff Asher

The Saints coaches are playing not to lose. It's not working.

That's been a recurring theme all season long.

Side note - Titans (still first in AFC South) fired their GM today. Got embarrassed by Philly last Sunday.

Trading AJ looks like a bad move now because he's balling.

The forced fumble created by Cam Jordan was spectacular. Not many players give that kind of effort. He and DeMario Davis are awesome.

His knee was hurting 😞... Please finish the play... Stay inbounds and get the yard.

Also, Tampa Bay may be one of the very worst 6-6 teams ever in NFL History. They have managed to squeak by with wins amid some very awful all-around performances (us twice, Rams, Falcons).

I’ll say it, again, really slow for management and the coaching staff: Taaaaaaysoooom Hillllllll. He seems to be the only one that puts a spark in the offense.

Why Mark Ingram even gets running snaps is beyond me.
The guy is years overdue for retirement.

The offense immediately got better when Latavius Murray replaced him for one game.

This team just continues to find new ways to lose, as if they needed any help doing that already.

Not defending his spineless out of bounds run at all here, but he was more effective than AK. Just saying.

Positives ...

Olave & Shaheed continue to make plays offensively.

I'd like to see more of Rashid on offense in 2023. He's electric & his vision on punt returns is very good.

Chris O's route running skills are damn near elite.

Yeah that's been the case for a while to be honest. Just a non existent running game and refusal to use Taysom where he excels.

Watching Ingram run out of bounds make me want to vomit, he even takes a step and angles out of bounds at the last minute.

Any practice squad RB gets that first down. You see players all the time for other teams not only make that play, but then slide down instead of going out of bounds. Just dumb.

Taysom has been a more effective RB than both of them. By a long shot.

There are some solid players on this team but I've only got Jordan and Davis down as awesome. We probably agree that this team has underperformed with such a talented roster.

I’m not so sure if we draft a good young QB and keep our young talent in place and unload some of the dead weight we have via trade that we would not be able to contend for a playoff spot next year. If Brady retires who scares you on our division. Basically there is no better time to blow it up and start fresh.

Mark Ingram suffered a slight tear in his MCL vs Bucs.

Unfortunate.

MI likely out for the season with a MCL tear

Time for the UDFA former Baylor product to step up?

Good luck Mark Ingram. You had a solid career.

Now is the time to evaluate guys for the future.

I don't believe he's on the practice squad any longer.

May as well see what you have in Merritt.

Yeah, it was pretty obvious he went out of bounds like that because he was hurt. He immediately went to one knee with the training staff surrounding him. I don’t even blame him. He shouldn’t have been on the field. They should have addressed RB at the deadline. Hines was available and we probably didn’t even make a phone call.

Re: Observations from the Saints last second loss to Bucs

The season is basically over anyway. They’d have to win out and have help to get to the playoffs.

How a roster this full of awesome players equates to this many losses already is horrible.

The Saints are done this year.

And that’s a bunch of BS. Refs letting the OLine for Bucs turn the game into a WWE match was the biggest impact on the 4th quarter. When PFT and Florio start calling out the refs you know it’s fixed. Jesus Christ could have been coaching and it wouldn’t have mattered. When one team is allowed to cheat in the 4th and the other isnt it’s not hard to predict the outcome.

I am not really one to believe games are fixed, but that belief is seriously being tested as evidence seems to be pouring in. The NFL made a huge mistake by getting into bed with the gambling industry, even if everything is on the up and up, it does create a lot of questions and doubt regarding the integrity of the game.

All someone has to do is watch the game without a bias and it’s obvious.

What was our medical staff and coaching thinking here?

Probably thinking he was ready to play based on medical examinations and the player’s input. He had 6 carries prior to that play and had no problems. His y/c average was way above Kamara’s.

I get it and I understand MI is a warrior (probably why he returned hurt) and was full of adrenaline however I'm starting to 2nd guess anything the Saints medical staff does as of late.

I'm no doctor but sometimes you have to save players from themselves.

Well Major, because we are losing, people are questioning EVERYTHING and its questioned with a negative bias.
