this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Damn Trautman hurt his leg running behind the line pre-snap. Murray hurt himself non contact. Ingram did as well. It disappoints me that they are implementing this type of penalty....

The fine is just a show for the audience. It's not like this is a real sport or anything.....
The NFL is once again trying to make themselves look like they care. We all know that they don't. Well, they care about advertising dollars. |

Re: NFL levies $550,000 in fines for allegedly fake Cam Jordan injury on Monday night
There was a very blatant non-call PI to end last night’s game. Almost as bad as what happened in the NFCCG against the Rams. Another example of how refs can (and often do) directly impact a game’s outcome. I’ve never said it happens only to the Saints. But it happens a hell of a lot more to the Saints than a lot of other teams. Ask yourself this; when was the last time you remember a bad call going FOR the Saints in a game ending drive situation?

We constantly work on making refs better and will retrain most rugby refs annually. I've been a ref coach for over twenty years. Even the good refs still need to learn to the new laws of the game. In short we invest in referees but the NFL still refuses to do that! And yes, we play by our own laws in rugby. Not rules. We never play by the rules. |

Poor Cam! That is just character assassination by Rodger Goodell on the Saints again.
