Rodger Goodell loves to make an example of the New Orleans Saints. Right or wrong it does not matter!

Re: NFL levies $550,000 in fines for allegedly fake Cam Jordan injury on Monday night

Roger Goodell really had a thing for Tom Benson and will never forgive Tom for spurning his sexual advances in his 80’s and 90’s. I don’t get why Gayle continues to vote for contract extensions for a man who tried many times to blackmail her husband to cheat on her.

We need to finally realize Goodell is already doing his worst to our team and the way to make the bully stop is not to submit, its to fight back and do everything he hates to make him suffer too until he calls for a truce. We need to get both Brian Flores and JC Tretter in the building. We need to decline to play in London and make fun of soccer. Maybe we could even James Harrison as some kind of assistant. F Goodell.

Also Gayle should try to make a deal with Dan Snyder to vote against removing him if he will vote against Goodell’s agenda and extensions. Snyder is not a great guy but Goodell is 1000x worse.

Of course after decades of flopping in the NFL, we’re the ones who get fined exorbitantly. Not the least bit surprising. The NFL is a ****ing joke.

Saints got fined MORE because it came at the direction from the COACHES.

And you know these guys were warned.

Dennis Allen & co can’t seem to do much right in 2022.

If anyone should be faking an injury it should be Allen and Loomis announcing they have heart conditions and stepping away to save face.

But I dont believe for a second this fine is fair. Other teams had the same warnings and did the same thing and were not penalized if they were an important market for Goodell or did him certain private favors.

Re: NFL levies $550,000 in fines for allegedly fake Cam Jordan injury on Monday night

"The New Orleans Saints deny any allegations of purposefully delaying the game on Monday evening. Defensive end Cameron Jordan felt foot pain following a third down play and sought medical attention. He entered the blue medical tent and was examined by the medical staff and following the examination he was taped and able to finish the game. He had an MRI performed the following day in New Orleans and was confirmed that he suffered an acute mid-foot sprain in his left foot. He has been at the facility each day receiving treatment for his injury he suffered on the play. The Saints will appeal the fines through the proper channels and believe the allegations will be proved incorrect."

Of course, after the accusations are thrown out it will get little to no acknowledgement from the league office of the fact.

Just another reason I'm glad I don't really watch the games anymore.

The league and the refs are unaccountable for their screwups, which basically decide the outcome of games.

Don't worry, diz. It appears you aren't the only one that doesn't really watch the games anymore. Pretty obvious by their commentary.

Here's to your getting back into the watching fold soon!

That’s a tough stance to take. How can the league say they are for player safety and then fine a team for doing something that may be in the players interest. I’m not saying it targets the Saints, but the spirit makes teams and players ignore/aggravate injuries during a game.

Having just watched a few World Cup games, the refereeing seems a lot more fair and normal there . And players fake injuries a lot in soccer.

The more I think about this the more I call this rule BS! How is a player with a leg or head injury supposed to know weather or not an extra step or two could cause a major problem. Absolute nonsense!

Yep.

The only other team that I've seen mentioned on the NFL network has been Jessie Bates of the Bengals from last week's game vs the Chiefs.

The OTHER 3 ... not much info.

The other three teams kissed Goodell’s cheesy toe ring and said thank you king roger for even letting our small market little city have a team sir, so since the fines were private, they stayed private if the teams did not protest.

I wonder if Jordan could appeal this with some federal labor type authorities. I can’t imagine fining a worker for seeking treatment for an injury is legal. OSHA could sanction Goodell and fine him, so not just appeal this fine, fine him!

The NFL thinks they have proof because supposedly Jordan gets up and takes a signal from the sideline before down, but its not nearly that simple if you think about it. Most foot injuries only become fully apparent after getting up and taking a few steps. Maybe step one is ouch, step two is darn i felt that again let me pay more attention, and step three is oh thats not good. Meanwhile what doesna defensive captain do probably every play? Look to the sideline for a signal. So logically the normal experience of a foot injury would usually be to get up and notice the injury while looking to the sideline for a signal on the next play.

The NFL is a dangerous sport and players accept that but the right to seek treatment when injured at work is a very basic right that I dont think players can or should waive. I think Goodell is probably violating some sort of labor law.

I think our best shot is having the NFLPA assert itself and stand up for Jordan and other players who may have legitimate injuries and are in this position to be wrongly accused. NFLPA needs to let the NFL they can't have it both ways with player safety.

The best defense is a good offense. We need to bring the pain to Goodell. The NFL is subject to OSHA regulation. This is the code Goodell and the league office violated. Jordan should file a complaint and then the NFL will be investigated by an authority they didnt choose.

1904.35(b)(1)(iv)
You must not discharge or in any manner discriminate against any employee for reporting a work-related injury or illness.

Jordan reported to a ref, a league employee supervising his work, that he was injured. The league then fined him $50,000.

Report: Jessie Bates Fined $50,000 For Faking Injury Against Chiefs

CINCINNATI — The NFL took notice of a certain between-play move Cincinnati pulled against the Chiefs last Sunday.

According to Tom Pelissero, the NFL fined Cincinnati safety Jessie Bates $50,000 for faking an injury late in the first half.

The Chiefs had first and goal at Cincinnati's one-yard line with 3:20 left in the half. That's when Bates went down with an "injury" to help his defense get more substitutions on the field.

He got the same penalty as Saints defensive end Cam Jordan for faking an injury this past Monday against the Buccaneers.

The NFL sent a memo to teams about punishments for faking injuries on Dec. 2. Bates allegedly wasn't able to sell his well enough.

This is going to be interesting to see what happens with this. Regardless if the injury was fake or not, I think the NFL side of this is going to argue that the player could have made if off the field, but the staff signaled to take a knee.

That may be the perception for some... maybe even a small morsel of truth in light and in spite of the population increases worldwide, despite the elite's masterplan to reduce our numbers via multiple devious means.

There's too much FB on TeeBee right now. It's all watered down, notwithstanding the pesky little game integrity issues continuing to increase in frequency.

Same here. It doesn't matter who's playing. Yesterday I watched all seven early games on the Sunday Ticket game mix and all three of the late games the same way. Lot's of viewers are doing that now.

Coincidentally, those viewers are not even counted toward the number of NFL viewers from what I understand. The record numbers are actually being understated.
