I heard the "consideration" of ejections was not very seriously pursued. It was discussed, along with several other subjects that are commonly tossed out there, but didn't seem to have much support. It was on NFL Radio, but I can't remember who mentioned it and couldn't find any reference posted online.

However, there does seem to be growing support of a more inclusive type of challenge system. That would be great!

What they need to do is make all RTP/unnecessary roughness, face mask, etc. reviewable. Ejection without review would be insane.

Yes sir.

The NBA reviews all of those flagrant fouls.

Auto eject without review would be ridiculous.

They'll never get it right as long the refs are part time employees.

They aren't held to the same standard as players are with regards studying their craft, yet they are allowed to dictate the outcome of games.

I really miss when the NFL was fun around 2008 - 2011

This is true, but it is also only part of it. The game has speeded up to the point where it is almost impossible for even highly trained fulltime officials to get all of the calls correct. Without using technology to get it right there will always be some blown calls. Look at games from 20-30 years ago and it looks like the are in slow-motion.

If they go through with this, anyone want to bet the Saints will be the first to have a player ejected???

They aren't even seriously considering this. It was bought up in discussion from what I heard. No more, no less.
