Here's a biggie: What if Sean McVay leaves the Rams? You think Payton wants that sunshine Hollywood life?

You bet he does.

So long as they can muster up 3 #1s, and some 2s, why not.

Re: SP Putting Together a Staff

While we are on the subject of coaches... We tend to focus heavily on failed draft picks but other than Sean Payton, which could be argued owes most of his success to Drew Brees, we don't have many positive notables.

Dennis Allen - HC
Rob Ryan - DC
Jim Haslett - HC
Mike Ditka - HC
Pete Carmichael - OC
Steve Spagnuolo - DC

I hate to say it, but off the field and out of the salary cap, we are not a very talented organization. We had one hit wonders but have floundered back to mediocrity.

Salient point. Maybe it also shows that retreads aren't the answer. We should have given the opportunity to an up and comer, like SP was when hired. I think it also shows that given SP's record , he should command very high trade value . Can't wait to see just how high the bidding will become.
