I know Pete C is gone but the real question is if DA is "one and done" in N.O.? This may be comparing apples to oranges but I do remember Van Gundy (Pels) was gone after one season ... so, there's that. I'm just a casual couch fan, so what the hell do I know :smokin:. |

Re: Observations from the Saints' win vs Browns
I think if the Saints win one more game, DA will be here at least for some of next season. He may have already secured that now. Idk.
The Saints have lost some very winnable games. I think the next couple of weeks are gonna be interesting. No matter what I hope they win. Good hell, the more games we win the further down the 1st round pick we gave Philly falls. That in itself is reason for me to cheer. Lol. And I really don’t want Tom Brady going to the playoffs. I’d rather see Carolina. Lol. |

Same ownership, so we know Mrs. Benson is willing to make a move like that if she feels it is necessary. I just hope if they do make the move they have someone lined up. I hate it when people who want the coach fired say, "anyone would be better". No. It can ALWAYS get worse. |

I think it was either Kevin or Underhill mention on their podcast that Dennis is currently 1-18 vs teams with winning records. Our best win this year was against Seattle & they are currently under .500. Not sure what some are honestly looking for in Allen as Head Coach. Not sure how much worse it can get. Essentially he's a P.E. teacher (solid DC) who's pretending to be a Chemistry or Math teacher & damn near everyone in the class is failing  Good luck vs a pissed-off Philly team still playing for a 1st round bye & home-field advantage in the playoffs. |

Dennis Allen won two in a row. Unfortunately, that means he'll be sticking around. Maybe. Just maybe Dennis Allen will do better with an innovative offensive coordinator.

Re: Observations from the Saints' win vs Browns
Bottom line is, we’re probably stuck with DA at least to start next season. Idk how short the leash will be, but I would be surprised if he doesn’t get to start the season as the HC, even if we lose our last 2 games.
So I’ll just hope for the best and expect less than average performance. SP really had us spoiled. Especially those of us that have been watching this team for 3 or more decades. Look if the guy can put together a 10 win season next year, fine. I might bite. But I don’t have much faith in him right now. It certainly wouldn’t hurt if he was some how able to win against the Eagles and Panthers the next week. And beating the Eagles is no easy task. But it would earn some confidence going into the off season. God knows if the Saints had their record and they had ours, as Saints fans, we’d all be ****ting bricks about this game. Lol. |
