Observations from the Saints' win vs Browns

Two in a row?

Say it ain't so... But it is!

Saints survived the frozen tundra of Ohio and won despite themselves.

Merry Christmas, WhoDats! :bng:

We are terrible. But the Browns were turrible. Nice win!

Brilliant coaching job to overcome yet another rash of injuries.

Now that’s a good win.
5 crucial drops. Two each by Kirkwood and Roby. One by Johnson.

The Browns are incompetent....
They were NOT prepared for our lesser incompetence!!

The way Allen stared down that dew-point... Made me a believer. "Championship!"

The poorly coached teams cannot overcome this commonality. The Lombardi-esque Saints, however... sneaking into a Super Bowl Win!!!! Oh me of little faith.

Speaking of, to my knowledge, that’s the first game ever the Saints won with a dew point at that level. That’s a FACT.

Has Taysom played against the dew-point before? Today, he was the answer.

I’m willing to admit I was wrong. I thought the dew point was going to kill us. But the refs gave us a couple calls and we played through it.

Running the football was the answer. Dalton hasn’t played bad football.
The OC, running game and every WR outside of Shaheed and Olave hasn’t done ANYTHING to help him out.

Dang! Would have been nice if the Cards had pulled out the W last night. But they made that bad fumble late and the refs helped Tampa just enough. Tjey will get stomped if they make the playoffs.

The door was just opened a crack, but I thought we might sneak in. Now it's a miracle for that to happen.

Oh well. We have to listen to talk of the GOAT for one more playoff run.:rolleyes:

Truly disheartening that we allowed ourselves to be put in this position.

We made mistakes and got no breaks. Very similar to last year.

We need a COMPLETE RE-TOOLING AND OVERHAUL from the top-down, or mistakes and no breaks will plague us next year as well as possibly a few more seasons to come.

Being in cap constraints results in some tough personnel decisions. It's extremely difficult to have the balls and smarts to know when to move on from players. SP learned his lessons or so we thought with the likes of Jenkins and Nincovich, although he erred with other bad draft picks in some years.

His opinion is fact. The Saints and Bucs are 1-2 in 2023 cap spending and 2-1 in oldest roster. Making old people rich is great if Ed McMahon is your GM and his goal is to try to promote the publishers clearinghouse sweepstakes buts not how we are going to contend.

Hitting the right QB would put the team right back in contention. A complete tear down could possibly work. Not necessarily needed. Plenty of young talent on the team, 4 of which joined the team this year as rookies and some are giving no credit to Allen for obtaining them. Our division sucks. Not hard to stay on top of it

Yeah. We did so last year under Payton as well. It’s hard to win in the NFL. Allen may get us there though. Maybe not. Point is none of us know for sure.
