Observations from the Saints' win vs Browns

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Dang! Would have been nice if the Cards had pulled out the W last night. But they made that bad fumble late and the refs helped Tampa just enough. Tjey will get stomped if they make the playoffs....

The door was just opened a crack, but I thought we might sneak in. Now it's a miracle for that to happen.

Oh well. We have to listen to talk of the GOAT for one more playoff run.

Truly disheartening that we allowed ourselves to be put in this position.

We made mistakes and got no breaks. Very similar to last year.

I think I’ll head up and go fishing with ice instead! 🤔

We need a COMPLETE RE-TOOLING AND OVERHAUL from the top-down, or mistakes and no breaks will plague us next year as well as possibly a few more seasons to come.

Being in cap constraints results in some tough personnel decisions. It's extremely difficult to have the balls and smarts to know when to move on from players. SP learned his lessons or so we thought with the likes of Jenkins and Nincovich, although he erred with other bad draft picks in some years.

Yeah, you’ve given your opinion on that before. Many times.

His opinion is fact. The Saints and Bucs are 1-2 in 2023 cap spending and 2-1 in oldest roster. Making old people rich is great if Ed McMahon is your GM and his goal is to try to promote the publishers clearinghouse sweepstakes buts not how we are going to contend.
