NFL's BLACK Monday is quickly approaching.

I know Pete C is gone but the real question is if DA is "one and done" in N.O.?

This may be comparing apples to oranges but I do remember Van Gundy (Pels) was gone after one season ... so, there's that.

I'm just a casual couch fan, so what the hell do I know .

As a fellow casual couch fan, I can say that we know that we tune in to watch our team WIN, unless we are masochists. Imagine that...

Same ownership, so we know Mrs. Benson is willing to make a move like that if she feels it is necessary.

I just hope if they do make the move they have someone lined up. I hate it when people who want the coach fired say, "anyone would be better". No. It can ALWAYS get worse.

I don't think Gayle is nearly as personally invested into the Pels as she is with the Saints.

Respectfully disagree. I had always heard that the Pelicans were an after thought to Tom Benson, but not Gayle. She was involved with the rebranding and as owner made sure the Pels had there own resources and didn't have to share them with the Saints. (trainers, etc.)

I can understand that. She is no doubt professionally invested in the Pelicans, but my meaning of "personally invested" was directed more toward personal relationships. She has shared on multiple occasions that she viewed both Payton and Loomis as sons and I understand that she has developed a strong personal relationship with Dennis Allen and his family, as well. I don't believe anything near that existed with a one and done Pelicans coach.

IMO Dennis Allen was a lazy Saints HC hire.

I think it was either Kevin or Underhill mention on their podcast that Dennis is currently 1-18 vs teams with winning records. Our best win this year was against Seattle & they are currently under .500.

Not sure what some are honestly looking for in Allen as Head Coach. Not sure how much worse it can get.

Essentially he's a P.E. teacher (solid DC) who's pretending to be a Chemistry or Math teacher & damn near everyone in the class is failing

Good luck vs a pissed-off Philly team still playing for a 1st round bye & home-field advantage in the playoffs.
