Physical abuse of a woman is classified as what 2/3 to 3/4 of opponents do to Dennis Allen. All the excuses of why he can’t be blamed for failure, if fully accepted, would lead only to the conclusion that he is an average head coach. If he was really good, he would not be under .300 career with obstacles, he would be .500 with obstacles. The Raiders were better before and after his tenure. We were better before his tenure with Semien and no receivers.

Don’t look now but interim HC (Steve W) has Carolina in GREAT position to make the playoffs. I think they will defeat Tampa and win the NFC South. |

I don't know how they stack up on paper or on the field, but are the Panthers better or more talented or skilled than us? I don't know, but if they aren't, then their interim HC is better than ours.

Regardless, they're showing what is possible when certain players/coaches are replaced.

Re: What Could We Do Without Pete Carmichael?
The Bucs and Saints have more talent in theory but they are both the two oldest rosters in the NFL and the two highest in 2023 cap expenditure. The Panthers and Falcons have less big names but are among the youngest teams in the league and the Panthers are just under the 2023 cap while the Falcons are among the most under. Yes the Saint and Bucs can get under the 2023 cap ‘easily’ but only by restructuring the contracts of all those aging grandpa boomer players and keeping them for 2023 with big deferred bonuses due into 2025 and beyond. The Panthers interim coach is surely better than ours but it wouldnt matter if he wasn’t, they are still set to thrive while we struggle due to Mickey Loomis’ embrace of a centigenarian roster.
