this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Playing devils advocate here (just for fun)... Does any team have a great draft every year? I can't think of any, but I'm sure one of you guys would know. Yes, we seem to have been in win now mode ...

Re: Saints Draft Revisited Over The Years

Does any team have a great draft every year? I can't think of any, but I'm sure one of you guys would know. Yes, we seem to have been in win now mode for too long, and yes some of those move ups are questionable. But, unless the guy you want falls right to you, which isn't often, ya gotta make moves. Again, just for fun. |

This years draft for the Saints seems to have been solid without Payton's influence. One could argue that's a factor. Signs point to Ireland being a big reason for doing well in drafts for the Saints so maybe the next draft will be a great draft even without a pick in the first round. |
