Slim path to playoffs

Panthers beat Bucs.
Bucs have to lose to the Falcons too. Or a whole laundry list needs to happen

-WAS needs to lose out
-SEA needs to lose to LAR
-GB needs to lose 1
-DET needs to lose 1

Plus us winning out gets us a wild card.

It's still too complicated to fathom.

When it's all said and done the Saints will be kicking themselves in the azz for blowing that Tampa game.

I'd go back two months (10/16), starting with Cincy @ home.

Big picture, the Saints have failed to defeat any team in 2022 heading to the postseason :rolleyes:.

Bahahaha! You can say that again! The days of smelling the playoffs year after year are over. Now the Saints need miracles and luck to reach the post season.

Now we just have to lower the expectations down to winning 7 or 8 games a season and wait for the pendulum to swing back the other direction again. It could be years!

Get your boos and your booze ready everyone! Lol.

A decent argument could be made that the Browns had a decent chance at making the playoffs until the Saints beat them!

We're not going limping into the playoffs. Not gonna happen. Philly will get a good pick and excuses will be made. I could only hope if Payton does coach a team next season Allen would follow him. Not sure Payton would want him even.

Nm I just watched the video and threw up my supper. I had literally blocked that memory out a little. Lol! Being a Saints fan in through the years gives you PTSD. Good grief now wonder we’re all so salty.

Hey thanks man! Why not just show us the Minneapolis Miracle again? Or the 10 point lead blown in 2 minutes to the Bears? Or the Hail Mary by Atlanta? Or maybe the Hail Mary by Cleveland?

I could go on, but I think you get the point.

That play was nineteen years ago so I think we can pick at the scab a little and not worry too much about creating a bigger wound. I wouldn't touch the Minneapolis Miracle play with Boston's 10' pole.

The end of the game against the Jaguars was so Saints. An incredible finish with the hope to tie it with a very reliable kicker and the ball goes wide right. I remember it well. It was my first year living in a village. I was standing up in our little apartment going nuts and that shanked kick ruined my day.

I'm not really sure Boston has a 10-ft pole. I think he's exaggerating a little and he probably drives a big old truck to make up for his insecurities. LOL!!

I can't stop hoping for playoffs until the door completely shuts...but also the other part of me is wondering how bad it is going to get before we can count on contending again...

I feel we have the roster to content right now. Especially in the NFC South. Unfortunately, a large percentage of them are currently on IR.

If we had a QB and everyone was healthy, then yea, I believe we'd be contending. The roster isn't that bad. The glaring holes are there that keep the team from performing. The roster isn't perfect by any means. Still, we do have talent.

One option being considered to handle the unbalanced schedule caused by the cancellation of the Bills/Bengals game is to expand the field to eight teams this year to ensure no team unfairly gets a first round bye.

I'd hope all the other teams realize that Monday Night was an anomaly and care more about the recovery of Damar Hamlin than "fairness" The NFL should determine Home Field by the number of wins vs the number of games played. No matter what the decision the 2022 season will have a * tacked on to it.
