People also have the right to call out players & coaches as they wish on B&G. Gweedo the Narcissist doesn't have the power to tell others how they should act, think or feel either. He's slowly running off too many nice people on this platform. I hope he hasn't run off TheOak (a highly respected poster here for many, many years). I simply don't understand why the mods allow his antics to continue. This is a sports forum in which we all can debate right? It's not always rainbows and unicorns. If there are people (myself included) here you don't like or don't wish to respond to, simply use the ignore button. It does wonders. |

I'm a football fan first. A fan being emotional over a injured player is just downright weird. They don't walk into the building and pick what injury they are going have for the season. But let some of these cheerleaders tell it MT sabotaged the Saints because he doesn't want to play. I'm going to call a hater a hater everyday all day.

Thing is man, people get emotional about things that they’re passionate about. That’s just human. Try not to take it the wrong way if someone doesn’t like certain players or their track records. They’re just passionate and ultimately just want to see all the players and coaches and the team succeed. And some just call it like they see it. There’s nothing wrong with that man. And to me, passion is a feeling. If you’re debating something that you have absolutely no feeling about, you’re not gonna be very good at debating it. If you wanna get into a debate with me about paint drying, I’m gonna have a rough time with that. Because I don’t give a **** about it. Lol. |

Playcalling usage etc...play factors into players performance. Football "in essence" is 11 on 11. Your DB play effects your pass rush pass rush effect your db play. DT effect your LB play so on so forth so when some people isolate players without context and just regurgitate one meaningless statistic by itself. I'm going say something because THATS NOT FOOTBALL. Can't talk run game and not talk oline. My passion isn't going to supercede reality. Saints were 5th in sacks and people still felt like we needed a upgrade at pass rush. Why is that of guys herald sacks so much in the Saints were fifth in that category?

Hell with what we had for DBs I feel like there should’ve been more ints. I mean, the offense underperformed regardless of who was at QB imo. But some may say that Dalton wasn’t good enough and that was the problem. My opinion is that he was fine and did okay but our offense was just vanilla and didn’t seem to have very good plays. Everyone’s got an opinion man. Lol |

Every subject turns into an attack on Michael Thomas, or Davenport, or Dennis Allen, or Sean Payton, Or Mickey Loomis. We get it. You hate these guys. Fine. But can we sometimes just talk Saints football without it constantly turning into the same old hate fest?

Posters can post within the guidelines and rules set forth by B&G.
This is a sports fan forum and no individual can dictate what they can and cannot say or feel because they "don't want to hear it". And we all know who I'm referring to ... I'll leave it at that. Saintsfan warned us. |

Re: Marcus Davenport
Back on topic ...
If Davenport leaves in Free agency, so be it. One less player we have to see on the weekly injury reports. I'd rather the Saints focus on the DT position. Other than David Onyemata and Cam, everyone else is replaceable in my opinion. Upgrades are needed and necessary. |
