Re: Observations from the Saints Win vs Eagles

I wouldn’t spend too much time downing Minshew. Although he’s not my choice for qb of the future for the Saints he’s still a nice player. Problem is we saw something from the Saints Sunday that few, if any teams, can do. Four quality starting corners on the field and pressure with 4 guys. Almost impossible to contend with. Short of a adebo losing his balance on one play this was the type of defensive domination we had hoped for all season. Lattimore is obviously a big reason for that but Taylor has been the surprise

It's astounding what a key injury here or there can do to a potentially outstanding roster. It can quickly flip the table. Three short weeks ago nobody would have given the Saints a shot at the Eagles, but their losing two or three key players and us getting two or three back made all the difference in the world.

This is what we have been missing.

A team with no first round pick might do less to worsted their draft position in rounds where they do have picks.

If said team was made up of losers who didn't have a desire play their very best and to win every time they take the field this might be true. Give me a team made up with players with heart and integrity any day.

Honestly, do you own any Saints paraphernalia? You sure like to point fingers like those smelly nasty trolls who never have anything nice to say about anything. Are you even a Saints fan?

Tell me what you like about the Saints and how you would get us back on track. There has to be some common ground. :bng:

I set that :dunce: troll to "ignore" well over a year ago, Rugs. :dunce: posted nothing but hatred for the Saints and never contributed anything meaningful. :dunce: is apparently still doing the same based upon the times I've seen :dunce: quoted in a reply.

The most passionate (and dedicated) fans are not "Haters", but simply expressing their dissatisfaction and even disgust with the insult that comes with watching our beloved team, stacked with talent and potential, yet so poorly coached and conditioned, that we have to face some of the most ridiculous mathematical equations to possibly sneak (limp) into the Playoffs ("Playoffs?!?!? Playoffs?!?!? You kiddin me?!?!?") - and then to NOT make it... The Fans deserve better, and the Staff (AND Management) of this team is paid well to make any necessary adjustments to provide a satisfactory experience for the dedicated Fans.

There are passionate and dedicated fans for certain. And we all process things differently. I'll put my passion for my Saints up against anyone. They most likely play far too much of a role in my life, but that is my burden to carry. I know intellectually that there is nothing I can do to affect the success of the team other than yelling my ass off every home game in the stands. I choose to dwell on the positives rather than agonize over negatives over which I have absolutely no control.

But there are haters out there that for some reason make it their life's work to belittle the team. They shrink away into some hole when the team is successful and come slithering out when difficult times arise. They attempt to feed upon it, but all they actually accomplish is showing all what miserable creatures they actually are.

And, yes, it is the job of the management to do their very best to provide that satisfactory experience. In fact, it is the job of all thirty-two managements. But, given outside influences mostly out of their control, most of those teams will not reach the playoffs in every given year. And all we can effectively do as fans is hope for the best the next year.

I agree with most everything except "outside influences mostly out of their control" - - - A Plumber, Electrician, Firefighter, Police Officer, School Teacher, Mother, Father, Soldier, or anyone for that matter, cannot and does not get to play that card and continue to be seen as competent. To give that pass to some of the highest paid people in the sports/entertainment industry, is simply short-sighted.

I have been a Saints fan since witnessing Dempsey kick that 60 yard field goal... Met Archie Manning and Dannie Abramowitz personally, when I was 10 years old... Cajun Field... obtained Joe Horns signature at the same field after a practice session there.... participated in "foot thunder" ( do you know what that is?) at Tulane Stadium.... been there done that....

Today's saints Do NOT match up to anything prior to Drew Brees Super Bowl victory... simple as that.... this bunch SUCKS :doh:

to get back on track in todays environment.... hang it up. there isn't a way... especially with the prima donna and the thug on the team, with this current coaching crew.

If the performance of any of those that is truly affected by circumstances out of their immediate control they can absolutely play that card, and rightfully so! It has nothing to do with their competence. COVID hit and severely affected the ability of teachers to give hands on guidance to students. Does that mean they let their students down? A plumber or electrician is dependent upon the supply chain to service customers. If that supply chain is interrupted by ships stacked up at various ports does that make them incompetent? A police officer cannot do his or her job as efficiently when said COVID has knocked out half the force. Does that make them poor officers? A mother or father cannot provide as well for their families if their jobs have been eliminated. Does that make them bad parents? Unexpected illnesses have led to the downfall of military engagements throughout history. These are all outside influences out of their control.

Besides you dropping the BLOVID bomb twice... STILL with that?!?!? You giving the mismanagement of this team a pass, after your dedication to every game, appears to be masochistic. I can't help with any of that. You can mask your pain, but I feel it Brother.
