Kobe Bryant and 10 NBA Stars with Biggest Chip on Their Shoulder
Bryant falls under the category of a player who, year in and year out, has something to prove. Whether that's trying to catch Michael Jordan in the rings department or proving he can still win a scoring title at the age of 34, there's always something that motivates Bryant. Obviously, Bryant isn't the only player in the NBA with a chip on his shoulder. Many players have one, for numerous reasons. LeBron James with his impossible standards. Kevin Durant fresh off a loss in the NBA Finals. Russell Westbrook with his unfair media criticism. The great players always have a chip on their shoulders. That's what makes them great. |

Finish Line: Weaponize the chip on your shoulder
Weaponize the fury. Chicago Bulls star Michael Jordan famously looked for any slight by another player to manufacture motivation, knowing it provides an extra edge. He was maniacal about it, but the trick does work. |

George (Saintfan) says hi :bng: FryDaddy, RockyMountain, The Danno, TheDude, ChrisXVI, BeastMode, Euphoria ... miss those guys but understand why they aren't nearly as active as they used to be on this forum. |

Stainfan is the one lone member that I can say left because of his unhealthy obsession with me. Other members were complaining and begging him to stop his constant childish behavior. One day he crossed the line and started posting defamatory lies and had apparently began cyber-stalking me. The forum mods asked him to stop and he refused and decided to leave the forum instead. That's all on him. |
Re: Michael Thomas agrees to restructured contract
Looked into Danno's latest postings. He too looks to have been part of the crowd that left because of the player protests.
Among his last seven posts ... https://blackandgold.com/saints/9929...tml#post898812 Like many others I'm still a Saints fan, just not a fan of the players currently in that uniform. Soon all this SJW and BLM bull**** will pass and the focus will return to the game and the teams, not the players and their ill informed opinions on politics. https://blackandgold.com/saints/9926...tml#post898341 The Saints killed their mojo this offseason when Malcolm Jenkins and Michael Thomas executed a Black Lives Matter-inspired assassination of Drew Brees’ character. Brees has never been the most talented NFL QB. His intangibles, particularly his leadership, are what made him great. The guy’s reputation was impeccable. He was the guy New Orleans and the Saints rallied around. Jenkins and Thomas ruined that when they publicly criticized Brees because Brees had the audacity to defend standing for the national anthem. Brees is no longer the leader of the Saints, who fell to 1-2 Sunday night. He’s a player on the team. It’s a tragedy what Jenkins and Thomas did to Brees, the NFL’s modern-day Walter Payton. If the Saints miss the playoffs, blame Jenkins, Thomas and the media race hustlers. |

But when you’re disagreement turns into comments like: “Pessimism versus optimism.” Or “I'll never understand supposed fans that demean their own team's players.” Or “I must say, however, I am impressed that you have never made an error in judgement your whole life and have never suffered any calamities that have interfered with your abilities” Then you’ve moved from disagreeing with me to attacking me and I’m going to attack back. I don’t believe that you honestly can’t see the difference. |
