Depends if we win or lose and how all kinds of other games go and tiebreakers work.
I think it will be between 8th if we lose and every other 6-7 win team wins and beats us in tiebreakers (7 teams can't get to 7 wins) and 20th if we win and every other 7-8 win team loses and loses to us in tiebreakers (12 teams have 9 wins or more or otherwise definitely finish ahead of us). Realistically something like 11th pick if we lose and 15th pick if we win.
Basically Philly will get back the 16th pick they gave us, probably drafting a bit earlier, in a richer draft. And they will have got our 2022 3rd rounder and 2024 2nd rounder for their trouble. It could have been much worse but it still shows Loomis is a reckless GM who enables compulsive gambling. Yeah, Olave seems like a good receiver, not a Megatron or Jefferson/Chase game dominating player but very good. But we could have traded up for Olave from our existing 1st round pick easily and then just would be without a big tackle who instantly got hurt and may never develop. |
