This team is really bad

I have no clue how they lost this game. This game, along with a few others we outplayed the opponent but came up short. Is it heart? Is it good players underachieving? is it poor coaching? I think it’s a mixture of all the above. Only players I would consider untouchable in the off-season is olive, AK, Davis, and RS. Only ones who showed heart this year imo.

Zero offensive adjustments all season long.

How DA let Pete C stay in charge of the offense, after that terrible mid season stretch of losses is beyond me and both should be shown the door in my opinion.

Running game none existent for too long, Mark Ingram being given touches and getting 1 or 2 yards encapsulated the offense.

It felt like every skill position player fumbled at least once this season.

Several players not providing enough. Payton Turner, I think he's been a healthy scratch more often that he's played. Guy appears to be useless.
Davenport isn't much better, physical freak yes, invisible on game days, also yes.

Losing Lattimore for most of the season didn't help, Adebo was way in over his head.

Demario, made the pro bowl during arguably his worst season. I'm still sick from that Bucs loss where he just sat in the end zone and allowed the RB to win the game with like 4 seconds left.

I said it early in the season, this team needs cap space and draft picks. No more kicking the can down the road in hopes we may be marginally successful.
We need a reboot.

Went to the game today and early in the second quarter I believe, Taysom was so wide open at the goal line there was literally no one within 20 yards of him and Dalton tried to force a small pass to Kamara who I don’t even think was looking and ended up being an incomplete pass. Should’ve been a TD easily. I know it’s only one play but Dalton throughout the whole game was not impressive at all. He is not starter material. Our offense is stagnant af. We really need a new OC and a legit qb.
I think if we stay put with Allen then we should make the moves necessary to keep this defense rolling and keep working on this offense however we can, but definitely start with OC.
We would’ve won this division if Payton was still coach

Listened to the end of the game on the radio. Deuce was convinced Dalton was hurt after a QB sneak.

And this team is broken. Not sure how to fix it, but.. it's not my job anyway.

This was blown lead #3 for the Saints.

Bengaloos, Bucs and now Carolina. The inability to play aggressive and put teams away is one of many reasons why you end up 7-10 & miss on post season.

Coaching and execution is lacking.

Side note - Lutz is no longer Mr Automatic.

Really. Really Really Bad.

Post Mortem Season Thoughts/Observations Overall:

- Bad Tackling
- Sad 3rd down Conversions
- Non-existent Red Zone Scoring Capability
- Sorry Use of Best Weapons (Olave, Hill, Johnson, Kamara, & Shaheed)
- Consistency at Kicker
- Inability to Stop Deep Passes in the Last 2 Minutes of a Game
- Injuries Being the Norm and not the Exception
- Vanilla Playcalling on Both Sides of the Ball
- Turning the Ball Over to Kill Drives

+ Consistently Making Bad and Mediocre Teams Look Great
+ Driving Too Many Fans to Weekly Liver Abuse
+ Keeping Dead Weight and Getting Rid of Talented Players

To echo what someone previously stated, I don't have an answer to fix this. But then again, they don't care what I think so what difference does it make?

No that was bad.

Have a terrible HC
A OC that had to be talked into taking the job

A scouting team that appears to love tape measurements over actual tape when it comes to DE especially. I mean you had Hendrickson and Al-Quadin-Muhammad in house and went out and spent a second first rounder to move up for Davenport, that before you look at the bust that is Payton Turner. And can't for the life of them get good value in trades, talk about getting cent on the dollar

Trade the Eagles
2022 1st/18th Pick
2022 3rd/101
2023 1st/11th Pick
2023 7th/237
2024 Second Rounder(very likely top 45)
2025 7th round
Chauncey Gardner-Johnson

Saints got
2022 1st/16th
2022 1st/18th
2023 5th
2024 Worst of their 6th rounders

To top that off, they then had to trade another 3rd/4th rounder to move up again to actually get the WR they wanted

Players who obviously are not focused. I mean Ingram running out of bounds probably cost them the division. Not that any team in the NFC South deserved a playoff place

Yesterday was the entire season wrapped into one game. Fitting end.

On to the off-season and whether or not tough decisions are in fact made to better this franchise.

I can't wait!
