Ex-Saints DB C.J. Gardner-Johnson says he's 'treated better,' around 'better guys' with Eagles
Jerk!
Ex-Saints DB C.J. Gardner-Johnson says he's 'treated better,' around 'better guys' with Eagles BY PATRICK MAGEE | STAFF WRITER JAN 9, 2023 - 9:37 AM ... Gardner-Johnson spoke with the media after his team's 22-16 victory over the New York Giants to lock down the No. 1 seed in the NFC with a 14-3 record, and he touched on the differences between his experiences in New Orleans and Philadelphia. "It's been better than expected," Gardner-Johnson said of his first season with the Eagles. "I get treated very, very, very better than I was in New Orleans. You play better ball when you're around better guys, around better athletes." Following that comment, Gardner-Johnson was asked the follow-up question of, "How so?" "You've got two of the corners that can cover better than me," the Florida product said. "I was covering all down in New Orleans. When I got the chance to play with some lock-down corners, I just figured out my role." ... Gardner-Johnson's critique of his former Saints teammates was the most surprising part of his comments on Sunday. He played alongside one of the NFL's best cornerbacks in Marshon Lattimore, and the New Orleans defense was consistently one of the league's best during his time there from 2019-21. |

This made me glad that he’s gone. I get being mad at the organization and front office, but to disrespect his former teammates? Cancer. I’m definitely rooting against him now.

Now we start to understand why the Saints were so quick to unload him for relatively no compensation. Going to be interesting to see how he acts once free agency hits, especially if Philly doesn't offer him the money he feels he deserves, or gets a tag put on him.

OH NO!! A former player "Bad Mouthing the team he just left?" The First Cousin to"It's Not About The Money"
Here is what Malcom Jenkins said about the Eagles upon his return to the Saints: “I gave everything I had to the city, to the team,” Jenkins said, via Zach Berman of TheAthletic.com. “Did everything the coaches asked me to do, did everything to make the players around me better, try to put my best football out there. And it just wasn’t valued that much by those who make the decisions. For me, it was just more of a principle about respect. I really didn’t care what the money was. But I wanted to see what the respect factor was. And it wasn’t valued what I thought. And so decisions are made. And I ended up at a place that values what I bring.” Then turns around this December and tells Philly: On Tuesday, Jenkins told NBCSP’s John Clark that he was working out and still in good shape, adding that, if called upon, he could still play. “It’s not far-fetched. I’m still in it,” Jenkins said. “I do enjoy my seat watching as a fan, but I could come in for a stretch.” Sounds like "Tell the FANS what they want to hear" Saints want their 1st Rounder back? Here you go!! |

I believe this gives a little more insight into why he was sent off in the first place. It was already known he was disrespecting his coaches. It shouldn't come as a surprise he'd do the same to his teammates.

Lols him saying he "covered all in New Orleans"
Someone wants to show the 49ers game, where Kittle made him look a fool and CGJ basically lost that game for us. |

This is who CJGJ has always been - a little over the top and not afraid to ruffle feathers or invoke animosity. That's also part of what we had liked about him. I'm not going to do a 180 and say I'm glad we are rid of him. He's an antagonist to his opponents, which now includes us. It is what it is.
