I for one am expecting a banner year for the Saints. We're going to stay healthy, have a second year of continuity, and add a final few pieces through the draft and free agency to walk away with the NFC South. After that, it's anyone's game!

Sounds to me like someone is holding responsibilities that should be DA's.

If Loomis or someone else is making these decisions, they need to be shown the door too.

Titans fire their OC, Patriots fire OC Patricia (also terrible FORMER HC), Commanders fire OC Scott Turner, Jets, etc.

What type of organization brings back a career .283 winning percentage HC & has mishandled so many aspects of the 2022 season?

"Keep doing what you're doing". They've set the bar LOW in New Orleans.

Just watch how this plays out in 2023 Diz.

INSANITY

I have said ("argued" with some) that this would be a great opportunity to totally clean house. If we don't (and it looks like we won't), my prediction is that we are going to sit through a few (maybe many) painful seasons of continued dismal performance.

Agreed Sinner, perfect opportunity to revamp the Saints, although it doesn't look like that's what they intend to do.

Yeah agreed Major, every post and news article I see about Dennis Allen is just how he's never had a winning season.

That doesn't scream "future super bowl winning coach" to me.

For all the talk about Dennis Allen's past history as a head coach let's not forget that in his first year with the Saints as head coach he managed more wins than any previous year by a good margin with a roster that was decimated by key injuries. Let's also not forget that the coach that many feel is worth multiple 1st round picks (Sean Payton) failed to lead his team to more victories in a single season than Allen accomplished in 2022-23 on FOUR separate occasions (2007, 2014, 2015, 2016).

Just sayin'.

:D

Back to the wallowing in self pity. ;)

Victim Fetish is a strange phenomenon. As we segue from that ABYSMAL performance on closing day, AT HOME IN THE DOME, against a QB that threw for a total of 43 yds, ZERO touchdowns, and TWO interceptions - let's just float into the off season, and into another "OFF"-season, while continuing to make excuses for multi-millionaires. It's going to take more than a $750 million upgrade to rid the dome of the stank you'll be breathing during the next home game. God willing, we'll still be here to talk about how long-time dedicated fans who fork out their hard-earned cash, choose to perceive themselves as powerless to affect the outcome. WHO DAT!!!

2023 could be rough.

That's why the season should be about clearing cap space to rebuild. Trade away older vets, let them ring chase somewhere.

Problem is with Loomis free draft giveaway they've given away our second rounder in 2024

Honestly no point in drafting impactful players, because Loomis just let's them walk when contract time happens anyway.

Marcus Williams and Trey Hendrickson should still be on this team. We hit the jackpot considering where we drafted them and yet they walked away and we got zero compensation.

Can't keep players who want fair play when you decided paying Drew Brees and Terrin Armstead 24.5ml last year was a good idea.

They need rid of these stupid void years and constant restructures on so many players

Saints Dead cap
2022 33ml
2021 49ml

A d it's not like they've even been clearing the books like Atlanta did last year. It's just constant mismanagement to keep the gang together for another run. It's essentially lead to losing good young players to sign slightly cheaper older vets like last year
