I stress that I respect Bako's, Guido's and anyone else's rights to their opinions. I find myself agreeing with some and disagreeing with other things they say. I probably can say that about every user here. I'm sure others feel the same about me. It's the Saints passion that is the common thread. Thats the great thing about this forum.

My twin brother and I don't agree all the time and we argue from time to time but we see things through the same lens. Let's put on our bng sunglasses and talk positively.

Sure, we disagree at times with other posters. But, just because someone makes several arguments that we don't agree with, it doesn't mean we need to resort to name calling. What would ________ do?

Here's a Good Morning Football question that's similar to what we have debated here.

As for myself, I'd MUCH rather be competitive for 10 years without a title guarantee than win a title and rebuild for ten years. Saints football for me is entertainment. A lifestyle. We buy those tickets and go to every home game to have fun and be entertained. If along the way we catch enough breaks to win it all great, but winning it all isn't worth it if it means spending a decade watching non-competitive football and winning a handful of games, at best, every year just hoping to get back to winning it all again someday.

Nonetheless, I would rather have the option to win a championship if the ball bounces my way like it did in 2009.

Believe me, nothing is more depressing than paying $7 grand for season tickets knowing your team has little to no chance to win the game because they are going through a massive tear down and rebuild process that has no guarantee of being a success. Give me the ongoing joy of being competitive every week over one fleeting championship per decade.

Guido came at me with some passive aggressive bs about how I didn't have the smarts to understand Loomis' brilliant cap genius. I don't do passive aggressive on message boards so I went with a more transparent and honest form of aggression regarding his mothers virtue.
