As for myself, I'd MUCH rather be competitive for 10 years without a title guarantee than win a title and rebuild for ten years. Saints football for me is entertainment. A lifestyle. We buy those tickets and go to every home game to have fun and be entertained. If along the way we catch enough breaks to win it all great, but winning it all isn't worth it if it means spending a decade watching non-competitive football and winning a handful of games, at best, every year just hoping to get back to winning it all again someday.

It would be so depressing knowing that my season was always going to be just 17 games long with no chance at a Super bowl. I want another Lombardi for the trophy case but I also want the respect that winning brings. Errrrr....... never mind. We were winners with Sean and Drew but never got any respect. So, there's that. Nonetheless, I would rather have the option to win a championship if the ball bounces my way like it did in 2009.

Believe me, nothing is more depressing than paying $7 grand for season tickets knowing your team has little to no chance to win the game because they are going through a massive tear down and rebuild process that has no guarantee of being a success. Give me the ongoing joy of being competitive every week over one fleeting championship per decade.
