When an organization gets embarrassed, key people get fired. When an organization doesn't fire key people, the fans will continue to get embarrassed.

When you fire key people annually you become the Lions.

If you have to fire people on a regular basis then you are obviously hiring the wrong people. If this cycle continues then it's on the employer to hire better employees. You may need to reevaluate the hiring process from top to bottom. However, there is something to be said for the continuity the Saints had for the last decade and a half. I think the key is hiring the right people the first time like Mickey Loomis has done much of his time with the Saints. Sure, he's had a swing and a mess here and there but he has pretty much nailed it on the people that he hires.

If we stick with this current lineup, it's the fans who will be run through a grinder.

This, right here, is often overlooked and poor talent acquisition skill is not limited to the business sector. I have friends that stopped talking to me for a bit because I got tired of listening to them b1tch about ex's and pointed out they wouldn't have that problem if they had made better choices.

If you want a glimpse of the general skill level of talent identification that mankind possesses one only needs to look at divorce rates and politicians.

Crazy how quickly things change in the NotForLong league. Leftwich was being discussed as a Head Coaching candidate just two years ago.
I like Leftwich because he's a toughguy. I'll never forget his teammates carrying him down the field after a play because he couldn't walk.
