Actually, I hoping to more of the offense that we had back in 2012 when Carmichael's playcalling led to the Saints finishing #3 in scoring and #2 in total yards. Hopefully Allen lets him open it up like he's always done in the past when he was call plays.

We saw it under Vitt and Kromer with Carmichael. No reason it can't happen again under Allen. But, you just keep not believing. I have enough faith and belief for all of us.

I can think of one reason: What we allowed Sam Freakin Darnold to do to us in the Dome to close out this pathetic season. If a QB can put up 43 total yards, throw for zero touchdowns, and two interceptions, and our offense couldn't put up enough points to put that game away, you best believe that we may be headed for more pain. "Faith without works is dead." <<<--- Says so in the Bible.

Brees retired.

Yes, he did. That just shows how important the players are to success of the team. I was all for replacing Carmichael, but it didn't happen, so I'm looking for the positives. One is that we have had great success with Carmichael calling plays in the past so all is not lost. We need a healthy line and a QB that can make plays. And, yes, we need Carmichael to open up the offense more just like he used to do when calling plays prior to this last season.

This is true. Even if we had got a new OC like we all had wanted we would have still had to accomplish most or all of these things to improve the offense.

Sure, I get that, but I don't think the offensive success of the Paytonless season a decade ago is really relevant to today.

Same Old $#!+.... obviously, the front office liked what Dennis Allen had to say as far as just keep doing what you're doing. I guess as fans will have to wait another year for that shake up we've been waiting on to happen last year.

On the bright side, maybe they'll have time to look at some qualified resumes for over a year. We are notoriously slow to make a move as a franchise. We've had two losing seasons in a row. I just don't see how we can keep doing what we're doing! This is absolutely the definition of insanity!

I have been a big supporter of Mickey Loomis but I'm beginning to have several questions.
