McCarthy

Does McCarthy survive this loss? JJ may jump in and takeover the SP sweepstakes. This guy knows he has the team, but coaching is a problem. Dak is not a top QB in this league, but good enough.

I was thinking the same. McCarthy was already on a short leash.

Problem is that Jones is a control freak and has to be the smartest guy in the board room. That being said, SP is a strong coaching personality (like Jimmy Johnson) and he won't put up with his BS for very long.

Then again... throw enough money at him and I'm sure SP can be influenced to take the job.

Mike didn't throw those two INTs

Dak is paid like an elite QB but he’s not.

17 ints (led the league) on the season will do it.

Meanwhile Brock Purdy made NO mistakes.

I didn't think McCarthy would have been going anywhere with the season that they had, but that win last week should have locked his return in for certain. Win you look at their numbers McCarthy is every bit as good a coach as is Payton. He's has just as much success or more across the board. Besides, the Jones' are too enamored with their draft picks. I can't imagine them handing over a batch of them for what is basically a parallel move at head coach.

Very much like Bobby Hebert 2.0 ... can't win the big game, in fact actually crumbles under pressure with similar turnovers.

Come to think of it, not so dissimilar to Tony Romo either.

Skeletor will not relinquish any control, aka Davis + Payton will require some control = no deal. Like his mentor Parcell's once said, "They want you to cook a gourmet meal, but wont let you shop for the groceries". Can't see it. Although anything is possible i guess if the price is right.

Skip has been throwing that #4 jersey in the trash for a few years now :p.

At this point, I think Dak is what he is. Still inconsistent and making crucial mistakes (ints) late in games. Specifically, post-season.

Reminds me of the adage ‘what got you here, won’t get you there’… Throw Matt Ryan on that pile also. Playoff football is a different animal.

Re: McCarthy

Sean Payton has already worked in Dallas with Jerry Jones and k n o w s the depth of his meddling. I don't see him going to Dallas with another alpha male trying to run the show especially when coach Payton knows he doesn't do it very well. Sean Payton wants control and so does Jerry Jones. I don't believe Jerry Jones will give up the power Sean Payton requires to turn Dallas around.
